Time for change.

I've been wearing the same color and using the same makeup brand for years and years. My favorite Clinique eyeshadow was discontinued and I no longer felt like the makeup I own was enhancing my features. I walked into Sephora thinking all I need is some new luminizer since I decided to leave mine at my friend's place. I stay over there so much. I walked out with practically everything new.

New Mascara: Fairy Drops TOKYO Scandal Queen Mascara. I get very bored with mascara easily and to me, they all do the same thing. My eyelashes look the same with any kind of mascara. This was was different. Better. I like.

New Blush:
NARS Deep Throat: I know the NARS Orgasm blush is their most popular color but I felt it was too sparkly and dark for me. I'm pale. The SA suggested I buy the Deep Throat color and I've been using it for two days now but I am not crazy about it. It's pretty but perhaps it is too plain of a pink and boring. It is a nice color but I want something different.

New Eye Shadows:
1. Make Up For Ever 17: I really wanted to replace the Clinique matte brown shadow and this was the closest I could find. It's not as dark and has more of a warm tone to it. We shall see if this is a keeper.
2. Clinique Color Surge 203 Beige Shimmer: Now this is not technically a new color for me as I used to own this. I have not used this in years but I figured I have always liked it and decided to go back to it. I'm glad I did. Something about it. It glides on smoothly, no flakes, and without too much shine. Perfecto.

New Illuminating Powder: Guerlain Meteorites Perles Tint Beige: I usually use Lorac Spotlight. I decided to give a new powder a try. This powder is extremely light. I'm not sure if it is doing anything for my complexion yet. I would need to try it out a little longer to see if it is worth it.

New Eyeliner: This is actually from a drugstore: Almay liquid eye liner pen in black. I have used their bottle one for many years and loved it. Recently I noticed it smudges more than I would like. This one actually seems like lighter shade of black compared to the bottle and more natural looking. It is very easy to apply. The tip just looks like a marker pen. I love liquid eyeliner. Never in my years have I liked pencil. I always wanted a more natural look since liquid does seem to give a more dolled up look. This one does it.

EDIT: I returned the Nars blush and Guerlain Meteorites and picked up Bobbie Brown Shimmer Brick in Beige and Mac powder blush in cubic. My old favorites.
