Old Navy Finds

I've read multiple positive reviews about Old Navy's Rock Star Jeggings, so I decided to check it out in store.  Unfortunately, I didn't like any of the colors that were available or the stiff material.   However, I decided to look around the store and was surprised to find some cute things!  Here's what I purchased:
Old Navy Pintucked Satin Blouse in Navy XS Regular, Mini-Messenger Bag in Neon Yellow, Lightweight Pom Pom scarf in Red.
The Old Navy store I went to does not sell petite sizes.  Most clothing items in Old Navy are too big for me to wear.  The Pintucked Satin Blouse is a flowy, oversized fit on me.  The material is sheer, light, and soft.   It would look cute with skinny jeans with a cardigan for cooler temperatures, or with shorts for the summer.

The Lightweight Pom Pom Scarf is adorable. I am such a sucker for pom pom scarves.  Jcrew sometimes has pom pom scarves, and I'm instantly attracted to them.  The material is not as soft as Jcrew scarves, but it is comfortable.

I found the Neon Yellow Mini-Messenger Bag on a mannequin.  It was the last one in the store and reminded me of the neon cross body bags from The Cambridge Satchel Company, and I had to have it!  Obviously, the material is faux leather.  It feels stiff (like cardboard almost).  The material is not the greatest, but for the price I can't complain.  It's quite small: enough to fit a smartphone, cardholder, and lipstick.  The cross body strap is adjustable.  No hole punchers necessary.

I also saw other cute shirts in the store including:
Old Navy Bow-Back Animal Print Top, Shown in Blue Cat print.  Also available in Red Dog print.

Old Navy Bird Print Charmeuse Shirt in Blue.  Also available in Ivory.
The material of these felt nice in stores.  I would have tried them on except XS sizes were not available in either style.  I'm not sure if I want to purchase it online at this point since I'm happy with the current purchases, and theses looked like an over sized fit.  Perhaps I would give it a try if it goes on sale. :-)

Neon Trend

For those who are less comfortable throwing on a pair of neon pants or a dress, an accessory is the way to start!  I bought this neon yellow belt at Target for $12.99.  It comes in neon pink also.  (I think I even saw H&M selling a pair of shorts and a neon belt attached a few weeks ago - Perhaps it's a better deal?)

Jcrew Factory and American Apparel Cotton Winter Sweaters

There is one thing I dislike about shopping when it comes to winter time: sweaters.  Why?  Because of itchy and linty materials.  I rarely ever shop online for sweaters, unless they have detailed reviews.  I have to go to the stores to actually feel the material, and to make sure the sweater material does not come off and stick to my dark clothes.  Most of the time, the material I end up liking is cotton.
Jcrew Factory Stripe Chunky Crewneck Sweater in Vivid Poppy and Solid White/Beige(?).  XS. Cotton.
Jcrew Factory Pearl Necklace.
These sweaters from Jcrew Factory and American Apparel are comfortable, warm, and perfect for layering and/or wearing alone due to the non-itchy cotton material.  Both styles are a loose, oversize fit on me.  I wish Jcrew Factory had XXS sizes.
American Apparel Fisherman's Pullover in Navy and Nude.  XS. Cotton.
Burberry Snood.
The only thing I was disappointed about with the American Apparel sweater is that the nude color faded significantly after one wash.  Make sure you use a good color preserving detergent when washing!

Kindle Books: Mockingjay

I just finished reading Mockingjay by Suzaane Collins!!!!!!!!
Spoiler alert: The ending had a strange twist to it.  Some of my favorite characters were killed off.
However, I am satisfied because Peeta survived, and Katniss picked Peeta in the end.    I want to be hugged by Peeta's strong arms too!

Doma Leather Jacket + Raccoon Fur

A brilliant thought came to my mind after I posted my previous entry about the Doma leather jacket.  I remembered that one of my wool coats had a detachable raccoon fur collar.  Some of the buttons on my jacket lined up with the collar and ta-da!  I was ecstatic.  I like the way this collar looks on me better since it doesn't overwhelm my petite frame.   I wore my jacket out shopping today.   I love it!

Doma Leather Jacket

My search for a versatile leather jacket is over.  I have completely forgotten that I searched the stores for this Doma leather jacket back in August to try it on and failed to find it (my past blog entry here).   I gave up and was surprised to receive it as a Christmas gift!  Thank you so much!

Just a few things to note for those that may want to buy it:
Doma Leather Jacket size XS. Original Price 898.00 Now 449.95.
The fur collar:  I immediately noticed how different the fur collar looked online versus in person.  I brushed the thought away at first, thinking a lot of things can look different online versus in person.  I could have sworn it used to say it was made of faux fur on the website back in August, but now the website says it is a real goat fur collar.  I took a look at the picture on the website and notice that my fur collar absolutely looks different from the stock photos on the model.  They must have made an adjustment (perhaps the price before was too much for faux fur).  Shrung.  It doesn't really matter to me but just a FYI.

The fit: The shoulders fit perfectly!  This leather jacket must run a little small, because I was surprised that the XS fit well since most jackets fit large on me (for reference, I am 00P at BR).  The only thing that doesn't fit well are the length of the sleeves:  It is long.  Darn my short arms.  However, it does not bother me too much.  If I remove the detachable zipper sleeves it is too short (sort of like a 3/4 length) which I am fine with since I can wear it when the weather is a little warmer!

Gold Plated Collar Necklace

I've been searching for an affordable gold plated collar necklace for a few months now.  I was eyeing the Dannijo For Vena Cava Naomi Necklace, but did not like the price.  It is not worth spending that amount of money for a trendy piece of jewelry, in my opinion.  I spotted this one at JCPenney (in store, I don't see it on the website).  The necklace has an all around pebbled look.  It is slightly malleable to take on and off and to adjust, although, I wouldn't go crazy trying to bend it since it may break.   Originally priced at $24.00.... with the discount it was a little over $15.00!
