Inside the Jewelry Box: New Additions

This necklace was a present to myself. I bought it around Christmas time while shopping with one of my best friends at the Tiffany and Co. on Fifth Ave. I bought it in silver although I do wish I purchased it in gold now. It's simple so I wear it all the time.









Here is a ring I bought from Ideeli, which means it was pretty much, an impulse buy. I have received numerous compliments every time I wear it. It adds some bling to any outfit which makes it a great piece of accessory. LOVE IT!

Wishlist: 1. Any piece of jewelry that is turquoise and gold. 2. amethyst and gold. or 3. a long chain yellow gold necklace with a round pendant.

The Burberry Snood

The Burberry snood is my most recent purchase. The soft cashmere and classic check design makes it a versatile piece of accessory for the winter.  When I first received it in the mail I wasn't in love with it because it is thinner than what I am used to. I also felt it wasn't as glamorous. I have two J.Crew infinity scarves that I have been wearing since the season started that are much thicker.  LOVE those.  I started wearing the Burberry snood two days ago and it is definitely growing on me.  It is now a must-have before heading out to the frigid cold!  Snoods/infinity scarves are easy to put on, take off, and throw right into the purse when they are not necessary.  I highly recommend them, whether it is something more costly like from Burberry or affordable from J.Crew!

First Blog

I finally decided to create a blog!  A private blog that is.  Perhaps one day it will be public.   To sum it up January was an uninteresting month which primarily consisted of me working.

Rule 1: Work will not be part of this blog.  Ever.
Rule 2: No more rules!

I wanted to create this blog to replace a diary I used to keep of my past years in college.  It's nice to look back on it from time to time.  It's amazing how much we forget as time goes on: the things that happened, the people we met and how everything affected us.  I see how much I grew and how you can get through a lot in life.  Which is why I decided to continue to keep writing about my life.

I also wanted to create this blog to write about my accomplishments! Anything that makes me feel happy including my new purchases (I love to shop).  Anything that is amusing to me. Anything I basically feel: happy, sad, angry, and even days when I just feel "blah."

Basically, totally random thoughts.

2011! A new year and new chapter of my life. I can't wait to write my next entry!
